03 / 04 · LIFE & PRODUCT LESSONS

Practical lessons learned from building software, managing real costs, and solving problems in the real world by age 21.

WHAT REAL-WORLD BUILDING TAUGHT ME

What Life & Building in the Real World Taught Me by Age 21.

I am a 21-year-old engineer. Graduating in Computer Science and building real-world projects—including interactive web systems and games like Puzzler Games (puzzlergames.online)—taught me practical lessons that college textbooks never cover. Writing clean code is only the first step; the real test is keeping a product running when server costs, user attention, and real constraints push back.

THE PROGRESSION MINDSET

Many of my larger software ideas and projects are progressing step by step because funding and resources are limited. But life and building taught me a golden rule: You cannot win a Level 10 boss fight starting with Level 1 gear. You have to collect resources, start small, upgrade your skills with every release, manage your costs, and make sure you never stay stuck on any level.

LESSON 01 COST DISCIPLINE

Keep Server Costs Lower Than Income

A project dies if hosting and database bills cost more than what it brings in. I learned to run lean: caching data, using lightweight Docker containers, and keeping server costs minimal before spending money on scaling.

LESSON 02 EXECUTION FIRST

A Bad Idea With a Good Business Plan Can Win

Meanwhile, a great idea with a bad business plan will almost certainly fail. Clean code cannot save an application if there is no clear plan for how users will discover it and how it will sustain itself.

LESSON 03 STAND OUT

Your Product Must Have a Clear Hook

You need a clear Unique Selling Proposition. If people cannot understand within a few seconds why your product is different, marketing will not help. A little marketing only works when the core value is unmistakable.

LESSON 04 USER FOCUS

Design Around Your Exact Audience

Targeting is everything. Your visual theme, onboarding speed, and communication tone change completely based on your target audience and their generation. What works for younger players feels confusing to older professionals.

LESSON 05 FEEDBACK & DATA

Use Analytics to See What Users Truly Want

Never guess what to build next based on ego. Adding analytics reveals where users drop off, what features they replay, and what they ignore. Real data tells you what to improve in the next update.

LESSON 06 WORKPLACE VALUE

How This Translates to Any Software Role

In a software engineering job, I treat company cloud resources and product goals like my own. I don't just write code in isolation—I focus on performance, avoiding unnecessary cloud costs, and building features that users actually use.

OPEN FOR PRODUCTION ROLES & COLLABORATION

Ready to build something resilient?

I am actively exploring full-time software engineering roles, mobile app development, and technical partnerships. Let's discuss how my full-stack and Flutter foundation can drive your next release.

SYSTEMS BUILDER · 2005 – 2026
THE CRAFT

Code is logic. Craft is intent.

A decade of unlocked bootloaders, rooftop bandwidth, and building from first principles. I am Keshav Budhiraja — bridging deep systems engineering with tactile, human design.

01 / 03 · THE JOURNEY

How I Ended Up in Engineering.

I was never into score-chasing or marks in school. My real pull was raw curiosity — taking things apart, understanding how systems work beneath the surface, and building from the silicon up.

ACT 01 · 2012 (AGE 7) · THE FIRST SPARK Intel Pentium D 820 · Bhiwani · Lenovo Jelly Bean Tab

The Bhajan CD on an Intel Pentium D

I was born in Rohtak, and in school, I was pretty average. I wasn't interested in chasing marks or rote discipline. My real obsession was figuring out how things actually worked. Whenever I visited my maternal grandmother (Nani) in Bhiwani, the first place I ran was my uncle’s (Mama’s) computer room.

One afternoon, my Nani handed 7-year-old me a CD of bhajans and asked me to run it. After 30 minutes of random button-clicking and stubborn exploration, the bhajans started playing. My mother and Nani were thrilled and joked: "Hamara ladka engineer banega!" It was a family joke then, but for me, that spark never faded. Soon after, my mama gave me a Lenovo tablet running Android Jelly Bean. I started with an SD card loaded with 800 offline games, but playing games soon lost its charm — I wanted to know how customizations, utility apps, and the internet actually worked.

The Takeaway When you realize you can change how software behaves, you stop being just a spectator.
ACT 02 · 2018 (AGE 13) · BOOTLOADERS & BANDWIDTH Snapdragon 625 · 1GB/Day Jio · Rooftop Signal · Termux

1GB a Day on the Roof & The Custom ROM Rabbit Hole

At 13, after months of being stubborn, my mama gifted me a Redmi Note 4 — the budget powerhouse of that era ("thanks again, Mama"). We had no Wi-Fi at home, mobile data was strictly capped at 1GB per day, and network coverage inside the house was terrible.

I spent 3 to 4 hours every single day sitting on the roof just to catch enough signal to browse, buffer tutorials, and download YouTube videos to watch offline later. The moment the warranty expired, I dove in headfirst: unlocked the bootloader, flashed custom TWRP recoveries, backed up entire phone states with .tar archives, and started jumping between ROMs — flashing .zip files for clean AOSP builds and .iso/ported images like OxygenOS because stock MIUI felt too bloated. Later on, discovering Termux put a real Linux bash terminal right in my pocket.

The Takeaway Limited bandwidth teaches you patience, preparation, and how operating systems actually fit together.
ACT 03 · 2020–2023 · POLYTECHNIC & HARDWARE CR Polytechnic Rohtak · NIOS 12th · Pentium D Motherboard · First Laptop (2022)

The Motherboard in My Backpack

After 10th grade, instead of following the crowd into standard school, my mother and I decided a 3-year Computer Science Diploma at CR Polytechnic Rohtak would give me real hands-on engineering skills (while completing 12th through NIOS alongside it).

That heirloom Pentium D from Bhiwani was still with me. During my second year, for a Computer Organization & Architecture presentation, I literally dismantled the desktop tower, packed the motherboard, processor, and parts into my college backpack, and carried them to class so my peers could touch actual silicon rather than staring at textbook diagrams. In 2022, I finally got my first personal laptop — having a dedicated machine gave me the workbench I needed to build an offline encrypted Password Manager for my final-year diploma project and score top marks.

The Takeaway Theory only sticks when you take the machine apart and build something real on top of it.
ACT 04 · 2023–2026 · UNIVERSITY & VELOCITY Chandigarh University · Cloud Specialization · Agentic Velocity · May 2026

Lateral Entry, Cloud Systems & Building at Full Speed

Because of my diploma, I joined Chandigarh University through lateral entry directly into the 2nd year. Since I had already mastered the core CS syllabus in polytechnic, university became a playground for building real systems.

When ChatGPT and Cursor arrived, my building speed multiplied — I took complete technical ownership of major capstones, architecting the backend and mobile code while collaborating with teammates on reports and documentation. Choosing Cloud Computing as my specialization made Docker, cloud backends, and distributed systems feel like second nature. I graduated in May 2026 with a relentless drive to ship fast, resilient software.

The Takeaway Tools and AI evolve constantly, but knowing fundamentals from the silicon up lets you build without limits.
MENTAL MODELS & PERSPECTIVES

How I Look at Life & Systems.

Beyond syntax and infrastructure, these are the perspectives that keep me focused, disciplined, and grounded in the bigger picture.

DAILY DISCIPLINE HABIT
"It's hard, but every day it gets easier. The main key is to do it every day."
Mastery isn't born from sporadic bursts of motivation. Showing up daily, especially when it feels unglamorous, compounds into unstoppable momentum.
THE HUMAN MIND POTENTIAL
"A human mind can achieve anything in the world. The key is consistency, patience, and self-belief."
Self-belief without patience is arrogance; patience without self-belief is hesitation. Combined with relentless consistency, any engineering challenge is solvable.
THE MACRO VIEW SYSTEMS
"The entire world is also like a system — every human doing their assigned tasks and work, just like a computer does. We are not the world itself; we are just a small part of this bigger whole."
Real humility comes from understanding you are a node in a vast, interconnected network. Execute your role with excellence without mistaking yourself for the entire machine.
INTERCONNECTION AWARENESS
"People think of consciousness as an isolated term. Consciousness is part of a shared pool."
We build software not in isolation, but to connect, communicate, and elevate human experiences. What we create ripples into the collective pool.
REALITY CHECK RESILIENCE
"There is no strong beer, only weak men."
A lighthearted, unfiltered reminder: challenges and friction in life don't become softer. Your capacity to endure, adapt, and build capacity is what changes. Don't blame the circumstance — build your resilience.

ABOUT THIS PLATFORM

Autonomous Extraction Meets Pixel-Precise Verification.

Organizations across finance, legal, recruitment, and enterprise operations process thousands of unstructured documents every day—from multi-page invoices and master service agreements to resumes, balance sheets, and compliance statements. Traditional OCR tools fail because they are hardcoded for rigid single-domain templates that shatter when presented with varied document types. Meanwhile, pure LLM wrappers produce hallucinated JSON blobs without linking figures back to spatial page coordinates, leaving human auditors with no way to verify or correct extracted data.

THE HUMAN-IN-THE-LOOP BREAKTHROUGH

AetherDoc Studio unifies autonomous multi-model extraction with an interactive bounding-box verification studio. Reviewers can click any field to jump straight to its exact position on the multi-page canvas, draw custom bounding boxes with keyboard shortcuts (D), delete unwanted regions (Del), adjust confidence thresholds, and commit audit sign-offs with full cryptographic provenance.

MULTI-CLOUD NATIVE

Universal Object Storage Connectors

Built-in native connectors for Cloudflare R2, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, and custom S3 instances via AWS Signature V4 and Azure SAS. Documents sync bi-directionally with Supabase PostgreSQL without vendor lock-in.

ABOUT THIS ENGINE

Dense Semantics Fused with Precision Lexical Search.

Enterprise search systems face a fundamental dilemma: dense vector representations excel at semantic similarity but stumble on exact alphanumeric identifiers, CVE codes, financial figures, and specific function signatures. Pure keyword search (BM25) catches exact terminology but misses conceptual intent. Synapse resolves this with a 4-stage hybrid architecture combining dense vector embeddings (text-embedding-004) with BM25Okapi inverted index retrieval, fused via Reciprocal Rank Fusion (RRF, k=60) and deep Cross-Encoder re-ranking.

EMPIRICALLY BENCHMARKED ACCURACY (RAGAS)

Across 13 gold-standard enterprise queries over a 6-domain corpus (42 contextual chunks), Synapse achieved 85.7% Context Precision, 100% Context Recall, and 100% Faithfulness, dramatically outperforming standard dense-only retrieval baselines (55.0% precision).

SUB-25MS SEMANTIC CACHE

Redis Vector Semantic Deduplication

Hashes and evaluates query vector cosine similarity (cosine threshold ≥ 0.95), serving repeated and semantically identical queries in <25ms at $0.00 token cost, slashing LLM API expenses by up to 60%.

ABOUT THIS AUDITOR

Cyclical State Machines Meet Precision AST Inspection.

Modern engineering teams merge dozens of pull requests daily, while the explosion of AI coding tools has ushered in the age of “vibe coding” — shipping rapid features without deep structural audits. SENTINEL stands as an essential saviour for vibe coders and engineering teams in today’s era: an automated deep PR inspection system powered by a cyclical multi-agent graph orchestrating three concurrent domain specialists: Security (BOT SEC-9 inspecting OWASP, SQL injection, hardcoded secrets, and unsafe deserialization), Performance (BOT PERF-X detecting N+1 queries, blocking event loops, and resource leaks), and Architecture (BOT ARCH-V enforcing clean design patterns and exception safety).

WEIGHTED CONSENSUS & DEDUPLICATION

Multiple agents reviewing the same PR diff can produce redundant or conflicting comments. SENTINEL's Consensus Engine implements a group-and-promote algorithm that merges overlapping (file_path, line_number) findings, promoting the highest severity finding (Critical=3, Warning=2, Info=1) and synthesizing unified, actionable reviews with Pydantic v2 validation.

AST CONTEXT EXTRACTION

Diff Coordinate Node Resolution

Resolves unified diff hunk line coordinates to enclosing Python AST nodes (FunctionDef, AsyncFunctionDef, ClassDef), parameter scopes, and docstrings for full structural context.
